Here at Pensacola Osteopaths we are committed to working with the utmost transparency. We want you to understand every step of the process. Below are a list of the most frequently asked questions that we get.

Frequently asked questions

Does osteopathic manipulation hurt?

It is possible to feel sore for 24-48 hours after treatment. Taking motrin or tylenol, or using heat/cold packs, can help with some of this soreness. You should start feeling better after that.

Why don't you accept insurance?

No one will dispute that healthcare costs are out of control. The cost of practicing medicine often puts physicians out of business. In order to minimize the cost of practicing, and in the interest of transparency and controlling healthcare costs, we are a self-pay clinic only. We do have discounts and deals to help off-set the cost to you. We also provide superbills that you can submit to your health insurance company or HSA for reimbursement.

What kind of discounts do you offer?

Military, police, fire and EMS all receive 10% discounts at every visit, as do teachers. (We love our public service folks!) We also have a special program for those on disability (call for further details). We are also willing to discuss payment plans with patients. Please call for information.

What are your fees?

Initial consultation is $150. Follow up appointments are determined by length of appointment, typically $50 per 20 minutes (with the doctor). Special rates are available for those currently on disability (new patients only, call for more details).
